Scheme of the Examination
- There will be three papers in all – papers 1, 2 and 3; all of which must be taken.
- Papers 1 and 2 will be a composite paper both of which must be taken at one sitting.
- PAPER 1; 50 objective questions in 1 hour for 50 marks.
- PAPER 2: 9 Essay-type questions. Answer 4 only in 2 hours for 80 marks.
- PAPER 3: Elements of Practical and Physical Geography: 8 Essay-type questions. Answer 4 only in 1 hour 50 minutes for 70 marks. Question 1 is a compulsory question on map reading and interpretation for all candidates. It carries 25 marks. All the other questions in Paper 3 carry 15 marks each.
